Description
A rakodi is a hair ornament worn by female Bharatanatyam dancers. The rakodi is positioned above a hair ring that is used to secure all of the hair at the top. Despite being a tiny, one-piece ornament, it is just as essential as the others. Flowers are tied around the hair
ring and the rakodi is placed above it, resulting in total beauty.
From simple elegant pieces to beautiful traditional pieces, Zaras has an absolutely stunning collection of Rakodi. The varieties include Goddess Lakshmi-inspired rakodi, layered with maroon and green kemp stones and white stones. An intricate carving of Goddess Lakshmi, sitting on the lotus, showing varada hasta and her devotees nearby, in golden foil is placed in the centre.
Other designs include rakodis made with single-coloured stones, traditional designs, etc.
Take a look at Zara’s Rakodi collection, exhibiting unique pieces of rakodis of various shapes and sizes.
